I think GMS changes very little...
Always same lead that goes in the same pattern track after track... Secondly, they always use the same bass kick and hi-hats...
My opinion... Hang me for saying this...

I prefer GMS in good day then Astrix, Melicia etc....

Damn, don't you have enough? They've already released one some time ago (check out "GMS - The Remixes")...
... but don't worry, I bet that they'll release a new album in two weeks time.

The more they release, the better.
The hitz is a "Best of" CD for the people who couldn't get hold of their older tracks. 1200 Mics is a side project with Raja Ram from TIP. Zorba is their morning style side project. The remixes (Speaks for itself). Actually, only one of the releases that Psy2K listed is an album by GMS and it was released a while ago. I think they're about do for another. I can't wait. Also, If you don't like that they release so much, just don't buy it. Why does it bother people so much? Why do people feel the need to attack GMS or their fans? The people who appreciate it can go buy it and the rest can just not think about it. Why do people get so upset?
Anyway, Infected Adam to answer your question, There is no release date yet for a new album, but they should be do for a new one pretty soon.

The point is that they probably release every track they compose and that means that some of the tracks they release (for example shrek and lots of the tracks from zorba album) are bad and they dont fit with the gms name. GMS have made killer tunes the last 2 years like william wallace, juice and others, but some of the tracks they released are bad! I think that sometimes they compose music just because it is going to be released and it will make a blast on dancefloor and nothing more, no inspiration and no progression... Thats my opinion... The cd with the rmxs is nice especially the dado rmx on ecstasy. And the last two years there are 2 new gms albums with "new tracks" as u mention:Zorba and no rules. I waited to hear more tracks like "no rules" which is a track that doesnt follow the well known gms formula...

Again, as I stated above Zorba is not a GMS album. It may be Riktam and Bansi, but it's not GMS. To show you exactly what I meant by that, I'll use a Psy2K quote, "(for example shrek and lots of the tracks from zorba album) are bad and they dont fit with the GMS name".
Personally, I like the Zorba album, as well as the rest of their work. Honestly, I can't think of a Riktam and/or Bansi track that I didn't like. I have favorites and not so favorites, but they are all good. I'm not just saying that to defend them either. I honestly can't think of one.
Basically, my point in all of this is, why can't people just answer Infected Adam's question without making sure he knows how much they hate GMS? Don't people realize that GMS obviously made this guy feel good in some way, so how can anyone project their negativity on to him or his experience? If he feels they are too repetetive, then let him make that decision on his own. If the question was, "Does GMS release too much music?", then feel free to give them your opinion. |
