I have worked for a firm that sells stuff for fishermans 
We had alot of that stuff (i think millions of glow sticks) but i forget the name of the firm, sorry.
But i still know that they came from china.
10.000 in one pack, and we got some trucks full of them in different colors
Maybe try searching google for it

We selled them for night fishing
With them you can see where your fishing-line is going into the water.
And it wasn't a small shop it was wholesaler
BTW it was hard work getting them all from the trucks and put them into shelves
