This may have already been awnsered here somewhere, but what screen should I get on my new Macbook Pro? I'll mainly be using it indoors/clubs/parties/dark dingy warehouses and such, like most of you Im sure. I just dont want to make the wrong decision. Thanks for the help.
Peace

Glare on screens only really happens outdoors in the sun. I don't think the surface will make a difference indoors.

Glare happens with any light source.
Maybe in a club you will usually not have much problem with bright lights behind you, but I would not go for a glossy laptop screen.

The advantage with glossy is that you get a bit more vibrant colours since an anti-glare coating is a bit "milky" to avoid reflections.
That can be nice when you are a graphics designer and always work in conditions where you don't have light sources behind the screen.

With a laptop you usually don't know what conditions you will use it all the time, so unless you are very fuzzy about colour reproduction and are willing to sacrifice usability for a bit more vibrancy glossy is a bad idea.

For DJ/Live use there is only disadvantages with a glossy screen.

Fair point,

But I have 2 laptops here with different screen coatings and generally indoors or with the bright coloured LED lights (not from synths, I have large multicoloured LED lights) in my studio I don't see much difference.

If there is an Apple store near you, why not go in and check, the US must have quite a few around.
