Hello, i have a big problem which makes it not possible for me to make music anymore.
I have a laptop which isent the best(since i bought it for 3 years ago).
Whenever i play my song i created cpu load will go up too 99% and everything will run EXTREMELY slow and its not possible to work. Afterwards when this has happend i cannot even work with patterns because the same problem occur.
So only way for me to work is save and load my program after everything i do, extract what i made and listen to it in winamp afterwards.
And once every 10 minutes, restart my program.
You can understand that not alot of music making gets done.
I always thought it was my computer, but now i think maybe its some plugins i use.
You think any bad programmed plugin can cause this extreme overload on my cpu?, or is it simply that i have a shit computer and should buy a new one as fast as i can.
Thanks in advance.

go to your asio settings and set buffer size = 2048
and as soon try to reduce your playback quality to liniar or something like that.
Also as soon is it gets stuck just export the midi into .wav .
Your PC should handle DAWs with no problem and you can probably overload any PC.

Buffer size is maximum, but no difference.
Playback quality is also at linear.
Everything is set to lowest possible to save cpu performance, but still same problem no difference really.
I have a external soundcard but my computer wont allow me to install the drivers, so right now i using the soundcard in my zoom .
I use asio drivers.

sorry to mention this here... but do u have a cracked version of fl or u purchased one?
incase u have a cracked one i would suggest u download a cleaner version coz with the processor u have i think ur pc should be able to take quiet some load unless ur using a very heavy vst like gladiator or somethin |

In the begining it works, Usally i can do half a track, and then it starts. But sometimes it starts very early in the project, like a new project which i only spent about 2-3 hours on. I maybe have 5 vst and 3-4 drum samples.
And when it starts its always screwed, even afterwads. Like a plug gets dragged out and once open it continues.
If i dont reload the program it will be steady att 99%.
I havent tryed to narrow down which plugin it is but i suspect its glitch.
I think one problem can be is that i use around 20-30 vst´s per project and that is heavy on the cpu, but smart disable is on which should disable all vst which is not in use.
Sounddriver is also newly updated.

try reaper as a host, it's free. load up your vst's and test them. Reaper gives you a cpu meter that breaks down the utilization of your cpu down to the single vst.
maybe this way you can isolate the plugin(s) that give you this headacke.
