I am tired of music d'oh
Monitoring devices, know where you go
Mass media, total control
Digital delight, desire in megabite
Data overflow, virtual suicide
This information, is disinformation

+1. Been hearing glitches since late 90's Aphex Twin records. It was cool back then and surely made a great impact, but I've had enough of it to be honest. Its cool in moderation, but talk about computer music when your own computer generates random audio segments that you claim to be your own creation.
Remember reading how Aphex Twin used his hardware samplers to generate his own glitch effects. Insane hours of editing. It was clear that he was part machine from start http://soundcloud.com/martianarts

I have some very very old fasttracker2 tracks that i made which has a "glitchy" sound and they were inspired from music by aphex twin and squarepusher to name a few.
So yeah the glitch era needs to end. Allthou in moderation i agree it can be rather enjoyable.

Can't see the point you are making. Needs to end because of what?
I started my Aphex loving much earlier then late 90s.. Prolly around 92-93, before he found "the" sound. Still love that genius man as much today.
It's what you do with the effects that matter. I mean aren't we all using similar setups but with our own different thinking, scoring and production techniques getting very different results. Same with db glitsh
and glitshing in general.
Or are we tired of reverbs and delays too?
Maybe distortion, it's been soo widely used.
How about the minimoog?
Not really a rant this All hail Aphex, a true master at his art.
Don't forget to watch rubber johnny once in a while!
