what kinda glitches u guys prefer, ones with say a pad going while its glitching, or say the pad glitching with everything else?? I tried the first and it didnt really sound so good, so i glitched the pad along with it and it becam so much more powerful, ive tried taking the glitched audio sample from the pad and rearranged it in a different position so that the two audio tracks would glitch seperately. it sounded so nice:)           [[[G|L|I|T|C|H]]]

I'm trying glitching out for myself for the first time!!
Must say it's Hard work!!!

Is too much glitching harmful to the ears?
I have tinitus in my right ear with 20% hearing, and i experience a kind of "poping", or 'internal glitch' in my ear during my work!! The volume is always below normal for safety reasons - but this felling is kinda wierd!! It also hampers my perception of the track i'm working on!!

Any takes on this?

you can actually do some glitching with Guru because of the really easy to use internal modulations in the pattern sequencer. You have things like pitch, repeat, scrub(start time), shift, so you can shift pieces off back and forth. mostly it's really nice for drums, but it's glitchable as well.

You can use Stylus chaos/buzz feature if you import rex files of your audio.

You might have some earwax very close to your eardrum... sometimes the wax can touch the eardrum and stick to it; when it pulls away you get a loud 'pop' sound. Try putting 4 drops of olive oil into the affected ear when you go to bed, and try to sleep with that ear pointing upwards so the oil doesn't run out... the oil will soften the wax and might even bring some of your hearing back.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

wow Colin nice advice.. i have had some problems with my ears before, dunno if it was due to loud volumes and working with a track that was very unpleasant... and it was not mine

anyway ill remember what you said about the olive oil...

have you tried the burning candle that sucks out all the wax.. is it anything to recommend?

i do it in audio

first write your drums on one channl apply mix type fx as comp and eq etc.

open 5-10 audio channels, put dif funky fx o each channel (phasers, fanges, crushers, delays etc etc etc etc), and also put the mix fx you put on your original channel on each of those.

spread your orginal drum line across these chanels.

bounce.

imo this is much better/cleaner way than glitchVST and all those, provides much more control and a more original sound.

sometimes i use dbGlitch too though, when i'm lazy

dbGlitch has buffers and if u look at the audio after u bounce it u need to correct the snaps manually.
