If there's been a previous thread about this - my apologies. I would like to know how you guys usually go about making the glitchy percussion and beats before the main percussion kicks in (hats and snares etc).
Example (Starts at 0:40 to 1:20) :
I understand the simple answer is lots of reverse and delay. But some simple tricks to make glitchy percussion more effective and ear-candy would be greatly appreciated

This plugs sound good but are a little hard to tame... cut and paste to fit the ideas inside ur head, that is good.

GrossBeat is a great plugin! +1 on bringing that up
Its easy to use too so you don't really have any hassle with it. Although i haven't used it in about a year :/ I try and do things by hand more or less now days.
