Yeah mate bleak....Fair enough the music is mainly based around the daytime but when night falls it's nice to have something a bit different to dance to! It doesn't really seem that you've considered this with the trance line up so far.

Woah - come on, give them a chance!
As well as more to be announced on the main stages, there will be smaller stages/marquees.
I think all tastes will be catered for.

Looks really cool. However, if you want to provide a truly diverse platter of psytrance that all will enjoy, I think you need to throw in a couple of proper psychedelic artists such as some from the Parvati crew or StoneAge, if you know what I mean?

I think everyone who was there last year enjoyed the line up - which was over 6 or 7 stages and went well beyond psy trance.
Much as I like psy trance - it was really good to have choice of music - and I enjoyed a good few hours in the Sancho Panza and Raukus Caukus tents (still got my TWO rosettes!)

Is meant to be more of a eletronic music festival then just a psytrance festival (IMO a good thing) am I right?
I gotta ask this, how was the weather last year though?

Yes - its an electronic music festival with a strong emphasis last year on psy trance & breaks.
The weather was pretty good - I even got a bit of sunburn on the first day.
The crowd was great and probably what made the festival - good up-for-it UK festival type crowd.. might not have been so many beautiful people as at euro festivals - but everyone was well up for 'aving it!! |

I wasn't critisising the festival man..I had a wicked time last year! I just think that with regards to trance there should be a balance, day and night.... |

Last year's Glade Festival was really awesome in every way. I hope it's at the same beautiful location with the same number of people.
The thing with the trance being outdoors, they have to shut off at a certain time, something to do with the "Licence" which in the UK is always tricky. So the psy trance started at about 10h00 and ran until midnight except the last night when it came to an abrupt end at 18h00.
But all the other tents were pumping all night! Breaks, house it was all going down.
Oh, and yes, the weather was great. That was good luck....

Shiiit, this looks really really tempting. I can afford only festival this year, and it sure will be more expensive than Sonica.
Tough decision here. AFX, Hybrid, Simon Posford, Tristan and more in one venue.

One good effect of last year's enforced music shut down from 4am-noon was that everyone was more or less on the same timescale. When you get 24 hrs festivals, people tend to split off into night time shifts or day time shifts. It also meant it never got too messy as people did tend to sleep/rest a bit- which was good

well actually yes, people DID sleep. personally i slept like a baby then woke up and proceeded to get progressively more drunk over the day. Day tripping, mmmmmmmm
about the lineup...it's similar to last year. but then essentially the trance side of the festy is a nano records party so you know what to expect. i think it's wicked to have a slightly larger progressive input, would be awesome to include some of the Iboga artists also but can't have it all.
i love the way that this is a sunny festival with sunny fluffy music. it suits the atmosphere better in my opinion.
a big thanks to Nick and the crew for making the effort to provide this festy, all the best and bring it on |
