So someone had to be tuned into that radio station on that specific two hours every week and connect his pc to the radio and record the music (with the commercials in between and radio host announcements) in order to get the new releases in shit quality.

I hope you understand that this has nothing to do with the current situation           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

People dont want to pay for something they can get for free,as simple as that.

Thats why almost nobody buys anymore original music, movies, software and video games.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

It was Evosonic Radio back then in Germany started in 1997..and was pretty good quality with rare spoken words and almost no commercials.

Anyway..please stop using the term "as simple as that" ..in every seconds post..its annoying lol..

The problem is economic in nature, costs for replicating information had droped nearly to zero for the consumer since software and internet is avaible everywhere.

Obviously the creation of the information (music, software, text or whatever) is not zero, and since nobody is paying for it its a sunken cost for their autors.

There is other media that works in this type of economy: open TV. Its three part system, we all know how it works, its an example on how to provide free content to the audience and still make profit.

The problem in the psy scene is: who is going to be the sponsor?

Ektoplasm could indeed set up a pay and free button, the returning user could set up a paypal account that provides a one click function. I think if such a model would be set up in all free download sites it could mean a serious impact on the scene. True, there would still be many people who don't give a damn, i am sure there are people who would donate, and every bit helps.

Great topic.

Personal sponsorship can be a good idea.
If I love an artist's work, and if I could donate him 5€ and become an identified personal sponsor, and if personal sponsors for Beat Agency (for example ) knew they will get special attention from the artist like special tracks/ whatever sent to them and only to them from time to time, chance to speak to the artist and drink a beer with them when they come and play in your country, etc... It could work
