This style of music is not what i normaly collect however Ghregs sound trancends his genre and is among the most intelligent trance in the world. Just got this cd in the mail onfriday and it has been rockin my car/bedroom/office every moment.
This cd is a true Gem. I only hope there is more to come. |

This is MILES beyond 90% of all the "dark" psytrance out there. This kinda like Vidna Obmana or Lustmord meets industrial..very deep and it's not the least bit cheezy or predictable. I'm very impressed with this. |

While dark trance is not my cup of tea - his new stuff does sound "cinematic" and intelligently produced. I hallucinated skeletons dancing in a graveyard, so hard they sometimes smashed their bones to bits. |

Ghreg On Earth is a typical product of todays releases. He's the counterweight. The one who will bring balance to the system, lol. *not joking*
Brettfromtibet ... Sounds like a wicked trip, haha.

Ghreg deserves all the excelent ratings he has got for this album. Trying to sound different from the formula that almost every producer is using lately he produced a very good album, unique indeed. To me his tracks remind a lot Juno Reactor, with a touch of X-Dream. But I would have liked it more if he had given a little more swing to the basslines.
Peace and Love. |

(review reposted from discogs site)
" Every once in a while, you stumble upon music that bowls you over and forces you to reconsider everything you think you know about music. This isn't such a release. It's actually much better! I wouldn't even bother trying to describe in words how nice this release is (even tho it's what I've been doing for a few lines -- go figure!) as I know my words would merely get systematically sliced and diced and boiled in a kettle into a flamboyant elixir of madness (with a nice sugary after-taste! great for dancing.)
Extremely intense and uncompromising, this music fuses fairly noisy and gritty industrial mayhem with some of the most (well, the most, to this date) raw basslines around.
Very conceptual throughout, all tracks flow really well into each other, culminating in the seriousely positively superlatively mindbogglingly powerful Quintessence Unfurls, an absolute freak monster mindstorm of a track (and I'm not even exagerating!) that provides the perfect smooth landing to this epic journey.
Not for the faint of heart!
I give a rating of 15 seriously freaking out dancing goblin robots out of 10! We tried to limit them at the door but couldn't keep them out, they all rushed in when they heard this playing. "

if you're going to listen at this album, do so alone and at night, turn off all lights and make sure there's nothing around that might interrupt you... then seat yourself in your couch, or lay down in your bed, and press "play"
i guess that's not really a description or a review, but this kind of music is ideal for such situations, it's no background music in the slightest
i hadn't quite expected it but it's an amazing album
immerses you into some post-apocalyptic borderworld, where zombies and evilness seem to lurk behind every corner
it's not often an album manages to create such a nightmarish atmosphere for me, so far i've only experienced it with nrs his album, and xenomorph
i'm gonna cherish this one |
