Hi everyone....
i want to start making trance music... i've already started using and understanding reason 2.5 and cubase sx... but it seems my computer is not powerfull enough (it cant play reason tracks without stoping because of cpu usage).
i was hoping u guys can help me understand what i MUST have in order to get started...
i have :
Pentium III 450 MHz 384 MB Ram
Creative Sound Blaster PCI

Indeed you need a better pc.
*maybe a P4 or a AMD 2500+
*loads of ram 500mb is a good size (I tend to find its not even enough so soon Ill get another 500mb)
*A good sound card.
*A midi keyboard.
*Sound monitors.
*Loads of plugins.
After that, there are no limits, the only limit is the $$$. do a search in this forum there are loads of threads that will help you.

same problem that i have...
but i found a job and i a few months from now i'll upgrade my machine with a new mother-board,prossecor and a sound card...
(AMD 64 3200+,AMD Motherbord , and hopfuly rme or creamware sound card)
and NeutroN
you are 100% right about the ram but i'll think about later on...
can u recommend me on a suitble mother board for the pros.?
