unless you have or are planning to get alot of hardware effects go with a sound card with alot of I/O instead of a dedicated mixer. You have to spend alot of cash to get a decent sounding mixer and its just easier at this point to have alot of computer I/O and use your sequencers mixer.
If you go this route get a card with as much I/O as possible, dont match it to your current i/o needs, if you only have enough inputs right now its almost a sure thing you will be looking for a new card in a few years when you get more synths. |
