how do i get the sounds out of speakers..
say if i want sweeps to be up front out of the speakers but not loud..

u know how u put ur sounds.. forward and back ward.. genrally.. loud ones are up front.. and compressed punchy stuffs also come up front..
i dont want my sweeps to be compressed or loud either but i want it up front .. to get that kind of effect which sounds like getting played out side the speakers

Reverb can have a similar effect. Just think about how you can distinguish sounds in real world. Also eqing highs out of your things can help, as lower frequencies have more power, so they get transferred for longer distances. (think of far away thunderstrucks)
