if you want to get good quality from dvds just rip the whole movie to your pc and drop the audio into your sequencer.  |

I think the best way to rip an audio clip from a movie or show is to use Audacity (free). You can set that program to record the sound coming out of your computer, so all you have to do is hit record and play the part of the movie that has the clip you want.
That's a lot easier than dropping an entire movie into sound forge.
