I get dvd with 5.1 and use tools to extract the vocal audio stream (the center stream) then you have complete dvd with spoken word only and nothign else, really cool.
However i mainly record my own vocals or better yet get my english well spoken girlfriend to record stuff for me...sexy baby

Route back your Windows Wave Out into an ASIO Input on your soundcard. Fire up your host and test any movie, youtube video, etc. realtime whilst listening to your project. You can even record it to have them precisely positioned and to fx them. Very comfortable, no hassle.
Later you can extract that particular part to achieve ultimate sound quality.
Anybody with EMU 0404 needs this Patchmix DSP preset just drop me a note.

If I am cutting a sample from a movie or a song
how do you clean all of the background noise?
Lets say i take a sample from a song and I need only the vocals without
the music. Is there a way to take only the vocals?
Thanx...

Thanx man but i'm not sure if this one will help.
I need to reduce the music from the song so I dont
think that the Audition can find a frequency of the music
and reduce it. But be sure i'll check it.

I use audacity and record clips from youtube. So long as the actual video quality is good you get clean samples, because audacity can record the sound passing through your soun dcard. |

What tools do u use for extracting audio from dvd's? Also, is there a technique for making sounds in the background mroe quiet? Thinking about when u extract from avi. Not noise, other sounds like music playing behind the voice u want. |

Is it possible to use soundforge to extract the vocals from a dvd? If so, can anyone please explain how to do it? I dont have a dvd player at the moment, so im only using my pc with a emu 0404 usb audio interface.
If soundforge cant do the job, i would be happy for some recommendations on software, preferably shareware that can do the job.
Sorry about the two posts in a row, but i cant find the edit post option |
