I just bought a couple of turntables (SL1200 MK5) and i need help!

I don't understand anything about turntables, and i'm getting pissed off because i can't adjust the tracking force appropriately.
The needle keeps skipping...

Can anyone explain me the process of adjusting the weight? I've searched around and i just can't get it right...

These things come with a rubber mat, a technics splitmat and a few other hiphop (more for scratch) themed slipmats. Do i need to put the rubber mat, or just the slipmat?

Also, is the technics slipmat any good?

Newbie questions... sorry but i don't have the manuals, these were bought second-hand.

hi there...

i recommend you to use those technics slipmat and the themed.
never use the rubber mat if you want to mix, because you have to stop the disc, not the engine...

the arm must be paralel with the disc so that the needle doesnt hurt the disc and stops skiping.

just another thing...
if you whant to see if your turntable is tuned, put the pitch at the 0% and look to the lights at left, if the biggest ball stops at 0% the plate is tuned if not... you move the pitch till the biggest ball stop and see how much your turntable is detuned
