Can anybody give me a hint, how i can get our mixes legal for promotion? I know, one way is to ask every label about it. But that seems nearly impossible...
Any Idea? |

In my experience - If you're just knocking out a few mixes to give away or sell to cover your costs at parties you're playing at - its pretty much accepted practice to just put "promo use only" on them - and nobody will mind too much..
If you're selling them commercially - then you really need to get permission & sort out fees & stuff with the people who's music you're using... the complexities of doing this is why official mixes are rarely as good as unofficial mixes - somebody will always say no, take too long to decide or ask for too much cash etc... |
