They're hoping to get breakeven by selling one. They already know 99,999% of the users will use the cracked version. I think they'd get more money out of it when they'd sell it at 50$ instead of 2000$           http://www.soundcloud.com/bandarlog

Not only is the price ridiculous, it also sounds like utter shit. It is grainy, it messes with transients, fucks the phase and has a horrible frequency response even before you adjust the gain on the EQs.

They didn't even fund their own research: http://www.yorkshireforward.com/www/view.asp?content_id=3457&parent_id=3247

What a complete rip-off. Avoid like the plague!

When you charge 2000$ for it and it has a horrible GUI, no filtering, and most importantly, bad sound, yes.

What do you mean "already"? It was released in March.

# Headroom 1,536dB.
# Noise floor -8dB.

Sounds like a joke to me.
-8 dB is nothing and 1536 dB is a crazy crazy number.

Pavel: 1536 dB is exactly the headroom of 32 bit floating point. (6 dB x 2^8). Disappointing for a 2000$ plug-in. IMO it should be VST 2.4 (64 bit float) and have a much higher headroom.

I've read people report that it clips internally quite easily. That is quite a feat in floating point!

I have no idea what that -8dB noise floor is.

Anyway, one of the studios I work at got the demo when it was released. (How can you resists checking out a 2000$ EQ?) And we did some tests.

The following audio snippet has a bit of music with 4 Genwave EQs in series. All the bands are activated but THERE IS NO ACTUAL EQ GOING ON AT ALL!

http://www.puretone.nl/Genwave_EQ.mp3

(First bit is original with no EQ).

So, what do people think of this $2000 EQ? LOL!
