Any of you guys have monitors from the new line of Genelecs? My friend who is a metal producer has a pair of the big ones. Sounds killer! The bass response is sweet Any comments on the smaller ones?

i have been thinking of buying a pair of 8020A's. They're relatively cheap and they've got some good reviews. 8020A doesn't go really that deep (rolls off below 60Hz), but perhaps I'll buy a subwoofer later on.

The genelecs have a reputation of being very high quality studio monitors, but the price has always been a show-stopper for me. I had been considering Behringer's too, but they didn't get as good reviews and people seem to have had some problems with them (hearing local radio from them when not using them and so on). Those 8020A's are something like twice the price of the B2031A's.

Plus the genelecs are made here in Finland. What a great way to support my home country
