well ive had the mackie hr824
changed tham for bm6 passive with phonic amp.
now im gettin the active bm6a
the bm6 after the mackie
diffrent world... difrent level.. nothing to compare
expet the mackie will shake ur house with the moster base they have.

Mackie HR 824 are no good in a small room. Their passive radiator at the back means you have to place them far away from the walls. That doesn't work in a small room.
My personal taste is to stay away from those speakers in any room but some people will disagree...

We were using the yamaha msp10's and switch to the dynaudio bm-6a, For the price the yamaha's were'nt cutting it. After changing, there was such a difference. The best change we had made.... The mixing changed alot for us BoooM.
