Hey Wichdokta!
Thanks for including me on this one. I think the last one I was at was '04 perhaps? Always a great time and makes me think of the good old days when I used to DJ for kids from NBC. I think it was an outdoor party called Signature where I first met you. Hooray for lifes interesting cycles.
Looking forward to Gemini!

para halu, cause its about time they were in USA...
or some other crazy hungarians like Acid Goblins...
or definitely someone who will bring the funk, like Zoolog.           Bringing Dreams to Life!

Talking about Hungarians...Trippy Hippies! They fucking kick serious ass

Greek power would also do great... Dark Elf , Orestis , Stranger are definitely taking over the night scene since recent times

A couple of people suggested Procs earlier and I agree because they would have something for everybody. I think Yab Yum or Atriohm would also be a good fit since the theme of this party doesn't seem but certainly not light-hearted either. Or, as Megan said, it's about time we see Para Halu in the US

while very kick ass, last years Gemini was rather overloaded on darker sounds, faster sounds
I think that this year it would be nice to have an artist that appeals to all

Sorry folks but Procs, or Zoolog or any number of others doesnt fit (technically Para Halu either) but they make some really good stuff for their style, and have a good recognizable name)
but this again brings me back around to British stuff...

Think Ambivalent sounds and Last Possible Solution(or the harder S/A stuff as already mentiond)..
stuff thats got groove and catchy basslines that full on lovers can dig, but is also deep and psychedelic for those that like the darker edged stuff
We have more than enough name acts that excell at the dark stuff , i say go for deep psychedelic twilight sounds
Logical Light Music - SF
Straylight Productions -SF
Sound/Mind - Denver
Xcience - Midwest

i must say i agree with paradigm, meta, and jewbacca -

not all full-on is fluffy. i hate fluffy. some of it can be downright frightening... yet still groovy. gotta have groovy to dance.

I think it would be fun to have some of the more groovy and funkier Finnish guys come out. Haltya and Puoskari, for instance. Perhaps Salakavala, Luomuhappo, Mandalavandalz, Eraser or Yojalka.

Not very dark but very danceable! And certainly creative.

I see your point, but recent SA and Ambivalent recs stuff tends to be a bit repetitive and not as interesting as it used to be 3-4 years back. For me, artists like Trold, Talpa, Shotu, and also some of the acts on Wild Things records have the danceability you are talking about as well as the creative edge that's been missing from South African-style music lately. Just my opinion, of course.

          ..it's just another party..

How about Artifakt? He played in la, so I guess he can enter the US now, but the rest of the country missed out.

Not crazy fast and pure evil but certainly not fluffy either. I think he appeals across stylistic preferences.

I know us Texans would want to flight share and set up a date after Gemini too.           http://soundcloud.com/herbert-quain
