Hi,

I'm buying 2 Pioneer cdj-100 and I got an offer for a Gemini BPM 250 mixer.

My question is: has anyone worked with that mixer? how is it? I read somewhere that it's BPM counter suck and you can't really trust it.
I know it's a pretty old mixer but I'm just starting out and most of my funds are spent on the 2 pioneers anyway... so I need a nice mixer to start off with for practicing.

Any comments?

from the picture it seems like there is gain for each channel...
You think it's enough to start with? for now I played with the pioneer 600 which was great... but I really can't afford that right now          Mighty Fat Records

Gemini have a history of making cheap products that just suck. I'd be careful before buying anything made by that company.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

I agree with KAZ, if you are serious save the money for a Pioneer, but actually anything but Gemini. My opinion though.

I know that gemini is not the best out there... the thing is that the cdjs are very expensive and I get a great deal for a case+mixer+wires ...
Keep in mind that its the first equipment I buy (I'm really just starting) so I thought it might be enough for now...

So no one really worked with that specific mixer ha?
hmmn... guess it's all about the price then.

I see, maybe someone you know that had a mixer that you can borrow till you get enough money. Reason being if and when you start to get booked I can almost guarentee you will never see that mixer in a venue, and the better mixers allow you to do so much to what you are spinning, ie: flanger, delay, reverb etc. You will not regret buying the better mixer bro.
