Gemini 2010 / "To Charge or To Cancel" that is the question

Well, about a month ago I had 3/4 of my production company stolen. They got about $40,000 in gear. I've been trying to come up with a way to still do Gemini for free, but don't see how. I've had to spend my savings and get a loan to replace the gear. And I still don't have it all. To put more strain on the situation, my wife and I have been in the process of building a dance studio for her. Plus I have bills including rent, a baby, ect.. I'm tapped.
So, the big question, should I cancel the show or make a flyer and start charging for the event. I have a couple of backers who will help put up the funds if I start charging. The lineup would change alittle. What do the people think? |

This party has gone on for so long, and you have given the community so much i don't see how ANYBODY would have a problem with paying to come to this event.

We are still not sure but if we go we will gladly pay to have such an amzing experience.

Do you have to make fliers if you charge? I don't mind paying but it would suck to pay and then have the event feel less awesome because random people are there  Just makes me think of the crowd at psymbiotek which was way less warm and loving
I feel like the recurring base of attendees would have no problem paying even if they didn't find out until they got there.
Also, the venue owner seems like a nice guy, have you approached him about the situation to see if he would give you a break on the rental this year? |

 ...! I am really sorry to hear for your loss..! You should consider asking people for the entry charges for the party.. I'm sure people would not mind  ..!
keep the spirit alive man..! It will all work out.. it always dOes..! 
and I'm sure the artists would play at the festival for you without really charging much or at all.. all in the name of goodwill to keep the vibe alive..!
