Ajja is really sick. Anybody from Peak records would kill it to be honest. I think it borders that spot of intensity but with a little bit of melody and tons of squiggly acidic tones. All with a funky-ass bassline.

Yeah, I agree and thought the same thing
about AJJA!

Saw a YouTube vid of a morning set he
did over in Germany? that was insanely
awesome! Total psychedelic yumminess!

Psylove,

NANPSY

P/S/Y: And as much as I love NETROSYSTEM
AJJA would probably be more "accessible" on
quite a few levels.

I'm listening to Ajja right now. Interesting stuff, and I like his direction.

But correct me if I'm wrong in saying this, isn't he more of a "twilight" or early early morning person? Not to say that the music would be bad in the morning. In fact his bio I'm reading says that his music is aimed at being suitable for both night and morning. I'm just saying that without something a bit more uplifting at some point in the morning, well it won't feel like the sun ever rose fully.

I'm still looking forward to hearing Ajja play. From his obvious popularity in the thread, it sounds like we're all going to be getting down to Ajja in Belden town.

I doubt Ajja would be booked as a morning act for this party. I would rather see him playing between midnight and 3 am or so.

I say Ajja for night and Filteria for morning

Ajja's performance was beyond sick at Boom last year. Awesome guy too. Book him!

with all due respect to Ajja...i'm kind of surprised at all the support for bringing him again to the states...already having been here a couple times on the east coast. seems to me there are plenty of other artists who have not set foot on US soil and have a fresher sound IMO. nevertheless, it's not my decision, and I'll not be upset at all if Ajja is chosen

If that's the case, perhaps there is still hope of some Brazilian vibes come morning.

Some links for people to check out:

http://soundcloud.com/lifestyle
http://soundcloud.com/cosmonet
http://soundcloud.com/waio

In fact come to think of it, I bet that all you trancers would LOVE WAIO and his new stuff; that is if Celli/Earthling playing last year was any indication. Waio's music reminds me of a Brazilian spin on 'Earthling' tracks.

As a side thought to all of this, after listening to Ajja I have to say it's some of the most 'psychedelic' music I've heard. It's interesting how he keeps it around 144 (under 145), and somehow that slowness (even if subtle) ends up giving it this 'goa flavor.' Ajja reminds me of new school goa to be honest.
