The Gebriel Brothers first came to our attention after we heard their entry in our Sean Tyas Remix competition. Since then, they have been honing their production skills and have now delivered to us this superb two track E.P. Bags of melody and drive mixed with excellent production skills shows us that the Brothers know exactly what it takes to produce a quality trance tune, or in this case two.

Gebriel Brothers – Flashback (Original Mix)
An energetic drum rack welcomes you with immediate effect as you hit play, shortly followed by an ever growing electronic loop and crunchy bassline. As the track begins to lift you will find the melody sweeping in fully at around 2mins in. The gentle stabs seemingly tame the hard start and take this track in to a dreamy format. Around 3.53 the track quickly comes to a halt before breaking in to a firework display of impressionable synth injections which disintegrate, before the thick bassline envelopes the illustrious melody once more, taking this track speedily yet captivatingly to the finish line.
Gebriel Brothers – First Light (Original Mix)
No holding up with this one either, as it gallops straight in with a single kick pedal, neatly designed hats and chops, and an almighty bassline that curls before kicking back in to the main hook with verbal dominance. Before you know it that chunky bassline has turned in to the pounding heartbeat that drives the whole track forward. At 2.24 ‘First Light’ delivers a whirlwind swoosh, the sudden absence of sound awakens an eerie, reverberated synth pad melody, which very beautifully designs the captivating breakdown. As we come out of the break and back in to the main hook, you will find the pounding heartbeat by your side once again, nurturing you respectfully to the end.
Both tracks are constructed beautifully, I’m really liking the sounds of Discover, and looking forward to hearing many more releases coming from the label in the future.
