I've recently started working with gating vocal samples in my tracks and am looking for suggestions to make them sound more interesting.
I've been using StormGate (in Ableton) which has a lot of flexibility, but being new to this I haven't gotten very far past creating something random/approximately close to what I want. I know this is kind of an ambiguous thing to ask, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated- at least some good jumping off points would be nice  . If there's anything else beyond gating that anyone does I'd be interested to hear too (I like using ableton's frequency shifter as well). Thanks!
