You should be able to get to 1/128 on the dfx midi gate too. You just need to adjust your quantize in cubase and add the 1/128 note feature. You could also do that in audio.

Just so's you know, Cubase SX automation is NOT sample-accurate... the highest resolution is dependant on audio buffer size.

sample accurate ? i dont folow this time , in my cubase if quantize is 1/1 and i use square to automate it makes it quantized 1/1 . and same with 1/16 and so on.. i dont get buffer size conection to this ?

How can i set up the dfx midi gate with FL?
It needs a midi channel to send it signals, and i dont know how to assign a midi channel to give orders to an fx channel... Help anyone?

It looks fine on the automation track but when it plays back the timing of the transitions between 0dB and -oo dB on the fader will probably not be accurate. I think it's a limitation of the VST audio engine, but someone else might know more. Apparently, the smaller your audiocard latency, the more accurate the automation will be.
