I need a gate/chopper that can chop down to 1/64. Too lazy for that damn cut & erase way

Prefferrably freeware.

Any ideas?

Any MIDI gate will do what you want... I use the DestroyFX MIDI Gater. It's free.

Hey Colin! thanks for the heads up on the Dfx gate, i tried that midi gate a long time before, but i never really tried it.
when i try it now i like it.. very nice and simple gate with smooth parameters..

for qubase automate volume with 1/64 quantize using the sqaure pulse (fastest for me)
also midigate works nice
or in FL studio the lfo tool . ultimate control

Just so's you know, Cubase SX automation is NOT sample-accurate... the highest resolution is dependant on audio buffer size.

only one frustration, you can't sync the lfo

dfx skidder is freeware gate that can go up to 1/128. It's audio instead of midi, and colins proposal is much more flexible... But for the people who absolutely want it in audio...
