Does anyone remember this show? i remember it under the name: G-Force, i recently read a comic where Zoltar was fighting Mum-rah (Thundercats) and remembered this entire show! i didnt know it was this extensive and that the story was so deeply thought about! i'm really impressed, i grew up on this show, and completly forgot about it, even some of the names there are of strange pairing, they have Ken and Ryu (street fighter) together on the good guys side, and this is from the 70's... so its amazing to me! this site is really extensive, check it out.

Boy, although I'm young and didn't live in the 70's, I grew up on this myself. I even had the sticker album and all. 10x for a lovely piece of nostalgy!

This was the best action cartoon ever - BATTLE OF THE PLANETS.
pure manga,a super hero bird-themed group,a transexual villain and a gay robot -
what more could a little boy ask for?

another site is in the psysex favorites for a long time now.
check it out,and by the way,
lots of episodes are aveliable on vhs and DVD(just try in Amazon),not to mention the file-sharing programz......

Mr. Hanky, which version did you get to watch? i remember their names being:
Jason not Joe.
Keyop not Jinpei.
Tiny not Ryu.
Zoltar not Berg Katse.
and the evil villain entity was Computor and not Sosai X...
are you talking about the originals or the 2nd version?           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

surrender, Many times the japanese versions get castrated along the english translations, and Joe became Jason, Jinpei became keyop etc.

The show that was aired in israel at the begining of the 80's was the american version,
BATTLE OF THE PLANETS .

Over the years the show has gathered quite a cult following, and nowdays is getting lots of small revivals -
IMAGE comics has started a Battle of the planets series, the DVD's are getting released(i got one from amazon with 4 episodes) and lots of action figures are being made(got a few of those in melbourne and costa ricca )

in israel it was mistakenly translated as "war of the worlds"... also, when the first two seasons ended, Jordan Television provided for some more episodes. in arabic, though           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb

So, Mr. Hanky, i took your advice, and got me an episode of G-Force! it was a great one, with these astraunauts who were kidnapped by Spectra forces because they phtotgraphed secret Spectra bases on Mars. G-Force came to the rescue and it was awesome, i now remember from seeing, that the narrator was this robot and his robot dog in this underwater spaceship type base. wow, what a show, what awesome music background score! please oh please tell me youre gonna sample something from that to one of your tracks! i cant beleive someone has missed that for so long. Zoltar is da bomb!           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."
