But this is only Cubase charts.

a G5 with Logic works better almost twice than nuendo on G5.

So this is for you Cubase heads.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

CUBASE/NUENDO is most not stable softs arround
even original not cracked versions full of bugs

even flp4 is way more stable that steinberg shit

and sure logic 5.5 on pc is way more stable
(i dont want to mention the logic6+mac g5 cose its realy not fare to compare it to any pc with nuendo 85 or sx1096 on it)

i think the sx 2 is pretty stable.
if you have a good computer without any hardware problems, or conflicts.

I hear constantly from Logic users how unstable SX2 is but I've never had it crash once.

Leads me to believe people with an unstable SX2 are really having hardware problems or something else that is causing it and not the program itself.

..cubase is absolutely NOT STABLE on mac.
..nuendo is better cause they seems to be "some kind" of alternative for pro tools...

...anyway we workink on mac, pc, nuendo, cubase, logic pro 6... i must say that our pc wchich has been hardly configured by kinooko still sux with cubase and nuendo.

..i work on mac since 1932 and i haven't got ANY real troubles with my setup. logic is EXTREMALY stable on system 9 witch has to be configured for audio a bit..and sytem X wchich is also very stable...we can discuss about performance betwen 9 & X BUT it's always stable.

u HAVE to know some things about audio circuit and some "hygene" things - it doesn matter PC or Mac.

.... if it wil be yo audio workstation? be awere that is not really bad or good comps. there are some bad or good PREPARED machines for workin with audio.

..anyway SOME apps. makes some troubles and don't work on certain machines.

BUT logic audio worx great also on pcs!!

there is no advice for buyin pc or mac.

..anyway, there are something important things to know:

1. if u get in REAL troubles, do u have someone whi will help u? (i had to help myself all the times cause kinoko is too stupid pc fegget to know mac esteticx:)) ihihih)

2. when u choose the machine chose the app as u know that worx "best" on this type machine

3. find a GOOD forum when u always get some help with yo app (sinikkmatter)

the rest is just a combinatory!

ps. btw, guys just write bthis topic in googles:) there was a lot of discussions with some good usefull issues..

Sorry to tell u ppl

But altho I believe that Logic on Mac is more stable than SX2 on PC, in last couple of years, and more than 20 tracks I wrote I had almost no crashes at all, and those I had were because I was abusing my PC working with very high plugin overload

Maybe it is just me, but cubase is really not that bad

Moreover - the differences between the Mac and the PC are really small at the moment in comparison to what was before since PC has upgraded it's system a lot and came closer and became more stable.

So what is important in the end of the day I guess that no matter which system u use - is that u write good stuff, no?           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

My dual Xeon used to be #2 on that page.

Mac and PC are essentially equal in quality these days. PC had fallen behind when there were a lot of chipset problems pre-2001 (mostly VIA) but really, it all comes down to which OS/Platform you are most comfortable with. Both platforms and all of the major DAW/sequencers thoroughly crush that which was available in the 1990s and before anyway....so, what Yuli said.
