i like it but not on every bassline, it can give a nice boost of bass, i am interested in suggestions for other plugins that do the same as xbass 4000.

i have found these fx to be good when mixing for small speakers(ipod etc) as it is really an acoustic illusion (other harmonics are pushed making the fundamental "sound" louder)
when mixing for PAs this is useless there is lots of low-end in synth patches, maby its not programmed right.?

on my monitors i hear the effect of it and i expect it to be there on a pa system too. maybe there are some settings that give a specific bass boost on ipods only. but then this might not be the settings for `normal` use.

tried it but not too convinced. prefer having a multiband compressor and limiter instead gives me better results
