Hey, I know you guys hate those "how do i create this" - topics, but i really need your help on this one. I'm trying to archive a vocal effect which most of you probably think sounds way to commercial for psy (but never mind that). It´s some kind of vocal sample cut up and with some glitching on. All tips are appriciatet, also ideas on what sample to start out with. What I am trying to archive sounds something like this sample:

Thanx a lot.

I think you just said it all: chopping, probably glitch. It also sounds a little bit crushed, some fragments inverted. A reverbered snarehit is also used. |

I'm not shure if Aciduss made it clear that there's a vst called Glitch that can do this effect.
Or maybe you already knew that and was refering to it when you said "with some glitching on".
But this sample sure sounds like Glitch. |

I know about the plugin called Glitch. When I said "with some glitching on" I had Glitch Vst in mind but was not nessasary refering to it
I was hoping that there was another way to do it, every time i use Glitch it seems random what comes out, even that I make make own pattern, and settings. Anyways, thanx for the help, I'll try to make something. If I get something done I'll post a sample here. |

I did not know about LiveCut, I'l try that out. And it's free?? Uhhh... I love freeware
Also I'm still having problems finding out which sample to start out with, a plain voice sample with some spoken words does not seem to do it, it seems to be some kind of scat or whatever it's called...
Thanx for the tips, this forum is priceless! |

camon, just get any rhythmical sample, anyone will fit to practice. get it on your audiotrack in your sequencer, cut-and-paste it manually with scissor tool, put glitch on, create some nice pattern... you KNOW how to make it, you just didnt try that hard to get a nice result. there is no any special superhandy vst thats makes your sample sound like 'simonposford'. in fact its just cutting-pasting-duplicating and patience.
