SINCE THE EARLY 90'S PSY TRANCE HAS EVOLVED SO MUCH . IN THOSE TIMES THERE WERE NO DIFFERENT GENRES AS THERE ARE NOW.
since then v hav given trance so many different names like morning trance , dark trance . progressive trance , full on music , twilight music etc etc etc..
IS THIS LIST IS GONNA KEEP ON GROWING LIKE THIS IN THE FUTURE , OR WILL V HAVE ONLY 100% PURE PSYCHEDELIC MUSIC WITH NO COMMERCIAL STUFF IN IT ..
WHERE IS OUR MUSIC GONNA BE IN NXT 5 YEARS ???

I also think there is going to be a break up and true trancers will redefine the whole genre in a new direction. Something invisible for the great mayority of the current community. I also think there has been a desire for commercialization. But with commercialization artists are loosing not only creative control, but also control on how to present the music. So the commercial part of the psy trance scene will convert into the new style of club dance music... the more underground will redefine it and in 10 years will be cought on again and commercialized as it is absorbed by the mainstream. |

I firmly believe that within the next few years the whole surge of new dark artist will subside and people will find more reasons to complain about everything regarding the music, the saturation point will reach critical mass and many will abandon the genre for other musical persuits, there will be a new substyle that will be the "hot" substyle, and those that do what they want for the sheer enjoyment of it will continue to do so, Gil will still play marathon dat sets, and people will still bitch about it, and some of the same people that love to argue with people like HandA will eventually become that person and there will be a new group of people to talk smack back to him. In the end, The cast of characters will change, but the roles will remain the same. The underground will still be the underground, the mainstream will still be the mainstream, but with more artists that were considered underground at this time crossing that fine line... At the end of the day, all you can hope for is that the music you love will still be the music you love and no amount of semantics by anyone can hope to change that.
