It is a german website, so the translation (by google) might be a bit weird... check it out!

In addition to that I saw something on TV recently, where they used an egg sized square crystal to store information. Not only did they claim to have a capacity of 1000 dvd's, they also said that storage will last up to more than a 1000 years and can be recalled a heck of a lot faster than the hard drives we have.
