I can count on one hand the tunes they did that did not bore me to skip through the track, regardless this whole psy-trance connection to these kind of elements, has gotten very old and bad humour, with a twist of hypocrisy, sure don't help to make the situation any better.
But whatever, if this "stunt" gets them more publicity, I guess its good for them...although there are a lot of people that are slagging them off for this bad joke, as there are a lot of people that have ears and find what they are slagging off, in their tunes.
LSDance remix was one of their more well known tracks, and they go on in saying that triplets are one of the reasons psy-trance is shit.
Talk about a boomerang coming back at you.

Had a bright smile on my face when watching, I don't agree that everything said and showed there is shit, I like triplets and bassline variation alot as it has some kind of leveling within the track, or a break with the same loop again then, hey afterall lot of electronic dance music relies on repetition but yeah maybe to predictable
and yes the vengeance samples things is really true, there are some cool samples I like to listen again in other tracks, like a sample competition among producers a friend of mine said
well the video has some serious and also true points but isn't meant serious afterall I guess
You like it or not, maybe from a production point of view lot of release are way to same sounding

Their recent release with Astrix also has a somewhat generic offbeat bassline. For my taste Loud is a bit hit or miss - maybe because they have a quite varied sound - but they have made some outstanding tracks over the years.
The fact that they have used/abused these tricks themselves actually makes it self-irony and not hypocrisy in my book.

That's not what they are saying. They are saying that copy/paste, formulaic music, and no innovation and creativity are not the way to go.
You might not like Loud, and that is cool, but they are very innovative, they keep changing, keep experimenting and trying new directions. Non of their releases are the same.

Its not what they are saying? Have you watched the clip? Triplets and gated samples are 2 reasons "psy-trance" is shit.
Then listen to their remix of LSDance.
Its plain and simple.
P.S. their music is varied, fair enough, even if I don't like most of it. The subject at hand is LOUD claiming reasons that "psy-trance" is shit and they them selves do the same shit.

Because people link that stuff to psy-trance...its gotten old now. I like a good piss take like that UK article on a psy-trance night out. This is bad humor and its not good to me at all. The message is just plain wrong, this is not psy-trance they are talking about, its their own music and their own music, is not psy-trance...not most of it anyway.

Nectarios is right, it's linked to psy trance but this is not psy it's some newer cool groovy kind of progressive, personally I like the formula but yeah it's used too often by everyone, some changes here and there could be very nice
