I have always had this idea that in the near future we will control sounds, in our music, via holograms that are so vivid that they are almost like tripping out - ya know "seeing sounds" "hearing objects". Ultimately a closer relationship between your unconscious state and the beats you make!

about cpu's/ pc's:
2-5 years:
all cards in th computer will have opitcal communications.
5-10 years:
chip 2 chip communications.
15+ years:
the subsystem within a chip will be connected though optical interconnects.
the technique today available ( silicon/copper ) will stuck max 20ghz.
about holograms:
it will take much time ( 20+ a) but it will happend.

...if all gona be "fine" they ll reach the 20 ghz. in the worst case they stuck already @ 10 ghz, and u know, the 3,5 ghz will be gone from the production line @the beginning of 2003.

then i believe that TELEPORTATION will be available before 2050...
much before.

i think that music making in the future will evolve into something we dont expect now..
i think that instruments wil disaperar and new frequency generators will place the whole music making procces.
i think that the future music media will carry not only sound butt also feelings smell vision and more..

I don't know where you heard about teleportation of solid materials but there are some serious problemms in teleporting living creatures.

yeah, heard too that they are capable to "beam" (...teleportate) non-living pieces...but i heard too that they could beat the light-speed...u know what i mean ?! -all rumours from cheap science mags...
to beam living things, u have to know the entire genom, and that will take at least 50 years i think....and comes problem a, problem b,....such as that einstein wasn t correct with his theory...we have much to learn about quantum-physics...
(...i m toooo stupid for that...)

About the teleportation..
Austalians already did it.. well they teleported electricity or something like that..
Anyways I would love the hw that makes the music that I make in my mind..
...Sometimes I'm really pissed that I wasn't born 50 or maybe 500 years later..
oh well anyways I bet we all will live like 300 years once the human genom project is 100% complete..
