I discovered some really beautiful peaceful music a while ago by a guy called Nadaka which I wanted to share with you people. Quite meditative some of it, but with some nice tabla energy on other tracks... It's the kind of music that grows on you the more you listen... I have the CDs "Living Colour" and the "Lotus Trilogy"... really good stuff... www.nadaka.com for anyone interested. Greetings in the name of quality music! GT

have you heard of shakti?

john mclaughlin - acoustic guitar,
zakir hussain - tabla,
l. shankar - violin...

this is a brilliant album combibig classical indian music with ac. guitar playing and western jazz fusion.
truly a masterpiece!

I have the Shakti and Remember Shakti CDs, ground-breaking in their time for sure, (and on tour at the moment actually), but somehow not quite my thing, a lot of the time mclaughlin steals the show and goes off on endless ego trips, while a musical genius like zakir stays in the background... although he does play a maaaad solo on one of the remember CDs...
Heard of the "Dream" CD, but haven't checked it out, will do, cheers for the tip!
Boooooom,
GT
