hey guys.. havin a very strange problem with my cubase. maybe someone here will have a sollution . last nite while workin on a track. my speakers made a clicking sound, and after that, the sound only started comin out of the left speaker. but it only did that in cubase and reason (because it was rewired, but wen not rewired reason works ok.).. the rest of my applications (eg) windows media player, winamp, work fine. so it cant be my speakers..

i tried restartin my pc. but wen i load that track up. it still only comes out of the one speaker.. wat cud it be?

My first guess is a driver problem with your soundcard. Try reinstalling the (asio?) drivers.

you might have to work on a new genre of music that only comes out of one side and clicks alot....
sounds interesting...           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

I've had this happen a couple of times(I think)
usually I found it was an insert plugin, try bypassing all of the insert plugins and maybe one of them will be the culprit, then just try reloading that particular plugin and and redraw any automation. I know its a little annoying bu at least the track will work again(hoepfully. If your using any waves plugins i found these to be esspecially buggy...

this happens to me when i leave cubase open for a long time, especially if screen saver comes on..

my only solution is to restart cubase!
maybe try that

I suspect a plugin is the problem too... do you have any plugins on the master channel?

you can copy automation to some other plugin temporary and then move it back. just a hint.
i had the same problem with CubaseSX 2 - i reinstalled soundcard drivers and the problem was fixed.
didn't meet this bug in 3rd version.

Try checking if your soundcard centered or muted one of your out or in channels... Mine does that once in a while when using cubase...           *In AjmaGard We Trust*
