OU yeahhhhhh !!!
you're all right guys ! Any doubt on it, the master of funky music is Triptych !!!
All the time, and since the beginning of his project, he make ever a really killer groove bass line, and funky style !
I think to, that is one of the artist, with who we recognize HIS style between All, with his synthe, or some rif from guitar, or particulary, his grooooovveeeeeeeeee !!
And, when we heard some last track of him, we see that i confirme this reputation !!!!

imho, there's only one out there that knows
what the Funk it's all about ..
.. i'm still waiting for an answer from both
Bootsy & George if they agree
---
Triptych maybe funky in some ears, but i think
what Candy was trying to put her finger on
is what Psunpot already linked thru to...
.. tunes that have been labelled as
(yes, why not throw in yet another term?!)
Freakadelic
and now as well as
Funkadelic
... music from the likes of
Outolinto, Haltya, Texas Faggot, Weird Alchemy, Loopus in Fabula,
Kiwa, Eraser, Tamlin, Sattle Battle, Alrune, Yojalka, Rip van Hippy,
Pelinpala, Weirdo Beardo or The Vicious Spiral
(.. "Fraggle Truck", anyone?), for instance.
... farrrrrrrr from 'progressive' trance
but a true progression in music , in my ears.

Satyr - you understood me completely!
The artist names u gave - its exactly what I meant.
Triptych sound funky for some of u, but it's not the style I meant.

once again .. is it YOUR feeling Candy or Satyr ...
When i see the list from Stayr .. nothing for lot of people is "Funky" .. its really hard music ... :/
So, all this things for saying ... nothing had the TRUE of yes : is it funk or no : isn't funk .. because is just a question to "sensibility" or "feeling " ....

well, honoustly - i prefer to refer to those artists and their music, as
freakadelic as it freaks the funk out of psy ..
and besides that, outside the world of electronic music,
the term 'funk' is already used in musical areas,
as wide as the seven seas.
outside electronica, 'funk' is as common a term
as 'progressive' is, inside.
a lot of music is labelled 'funky', while it is far from being 'funk',
whereas a huge ammount of electroinca is called 'progressive',
while it has more retrogression than progression,
in music.
but Haltya being 'hard music' .. ?!
now that's some fries that dont go with my shake!
did u hear their last album, Miss Tick?
filled with smiles, sunshines, fx:travaganza
and spykodelik funk with a capital FUN

Miss Tick, the term "funkadelic" music is being used for the kind of music Satyr has explained.
I never said Triptych wasn't funky, it's just not the kind of music I was talking about.

freakadelic is a much better way of putting it personally. Ticon - Grooving The Bed is how i would make an example of Funkadelic but that's my opinion |

Funk .. we all seem to know what it FEELS like
but to understand what it IS, i guess we have to
stop trying to UNDERSTAND what it is.
for sure, it's very personal as is every musical taste;
when one is shaking his or her ass off all over the dancefloor,
another may be playing the casual wallflower.
.. but that was not the point of this topic.
our conversation thusfar points out
that the term 'Funk' is subjectively way too spaced out for us
to rationalize about and label new music with it,
where others label something 'completely different' with it as well.
!Babylon Vibration!
so to break it down oldskool style:
Free your mind and your ass will follow!
.. and if that doesnt just happen, i think y'all know
some funked up tunes to help U get there -
and if U dont, well then ..
it's time to get Busy!!
