Well guys, i'm at the fine tweaking process to obtain the power and speed i want for my track, as well as good balance and sound quality. I'm also focusing on improving my arrangement skills, and i wanted you to maybe give me some feedback

Tell me everything you find Cheesy in the bad way if there is any

Any arrangement things going bad?
Things i should add to this semi empty canvas?

All critics aloud!

Apart from the fact that this rocks!

Percs might need a lil more presence.

Could use more stabby synths and agressivity.

Maybe more complex breaks sometime would make it more energic.

Sounds really great, its really pro stuff.

Keep it up!

Hahhaha! thank you so much!! I'll be right on it, i'm gonna start off with the percussion, because its already about to hit the red bar lol, it might need some better group compression

I'll try to make my stabs and one of those leads more aggressive! the breaks are surprisingly hard to do but i'll manage

Thank you so eternally much for the feedback ^__^            http://soundcloud.com/li-fe

the arrangement is ok. but you have 2 work more on your leads. they are not bright enough. not powerfull enough. you need to take out the highs of the groove more. compare it to the groove of the artists you like.
about the entry i don't get why the melody is so low at volume. take it out! and the pad is very weak. it's dirty and small.
one more thing. you need some downlifts and uplifts here and there. and some impacts.

Thanks for your feedback! i'll do as you say, opening the cutoff a little and boosting with an EQ shoould do the trick..

And i already boosted the highs of my groove, i dont have as proper studio as many of you do have, in fact heres my studio

yeaah... i wish school finished their pro-ass mafagga studio, it would be helpful for making a cleaner track, but i'm alright i guess. i'm used to it now.

And i'll also work on making a deeper, louder and prettier pad, it really sucks i think.. i have some nice chords i like.. that i would want to use for it actually..

And idk bout the melody.. why its so.. low, i'm gonna fix it, and i will make the melody evolve more haha, thank you so much for your feedback misterr            http://soundcloud.com/li-fe

Okay folks! sort of a major change in the intro, it should me slammin' and jammin' enough now! but i think it might sound a bit, not clean, but empty straight after the buildup and release after the intro? or is that just me? i tried to add some noise and stuff to make it sound "fuller" but i'm not sure.

I made an attempt to fix my percussion by editing the EQ and compression a little tad, on their single channels as well as their group channel.

i also made an attempt on the leads but they might need some more time? i'm not sure, i'ld like you guys to check it out please

Now i'm going to be on the breaks for a little, make them more complex

as a big lover of good full on music (sure i love it secretly, not to frighten the darkpsy crowd of my fans, lol) i should say i like it. there is almost no quality and truly cool full on today, but your track aims somewhere there. however it could be even better.

overall it lacks the flow now. you have to start with easy and short breaks and as the track proceeds make them more complex and long, but!, if the track flows, if the kick, bass, percs and melodies work good together, dont interrupt them, there is no need for a break in this case. let it just play, let the music be and let people dance. if you still want a break, dont interrupt anything, just make a 1/2 or 1/4 bar kick roll and move on. if it sounds well already and if you don't have any sounds to add/remove why have a break? sure i am not talking about parts where you need to have a break every 2 or 4 bars to bring more drive, but still, the flow is the main thing, the music is about melodies and drive not breaks.

my ear wants more development for the main melody in the intro. it starts fine and i like how the sound evolves, but the melody is cutandpasted.

i dont like the kick. it is too... rude for this kind of music. also i wanna listen to this track without compressor on the percussion.

and the last, upload tracks which you think they are finished this way it is much more fun to criticize!

interesting points makus...the kick is too rude, I like that comment...perhaps it is a bit now that you mention it, that makes sense,
and your comments about flow and drive...starting with smaller breaks, also good ideas there...these ideas help me as well, I agree too with the concept of quality fullon....look forward to see how your track evolves oni katsu

I like the basis of the track. Bass is driving.

It just seems like it needs more leads, or more exciting leads/melodies. I think that's the only thing that needs some work through my laptop speakers.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

Hey you guys! thank you for the replies! i love you all <3
i'll complete every step you advice me to do, and i will re-bump this topic when i'm feeling done aight'?

and special creds for you Makus! love your reply
Your flowing advice is pretty good, and if it sounds really bad without a break, i found out that i.. don't really need to stop the bass completely, thats just silly.. silly.. me haha, overdoing the breaks just kills the power i guess..

i usually spend about a month or so untill the track is ready for polish so.. yeah, at least two weeks left

peace~

hey Oni Katsu
nice track you got here..nice driving bass but as Makus said the kick is a bit out of place I mean it sounds strange for the kind of music..I would change it I'm sure the track will benefit it and it will be even more driving..of course this is only my opinion and if you like just keep it

I also agree about breaks, I know it's very difficult to make breaks without breaking the flow I always struggling with that..probably the most difficult part about arrangment e production imo

but overall nice track, finish it and it will be great

Okay folks! New kick, same bass, worked on percussion and made the track almost full length, missing the initial outo and the outro itself, as well as the breaks.

I still want to make it bigger ofcourse, any suggestions? i think it might be feedbacktime :/

talkin bout tecnics...?

u are very good..know what u are doin and know how to do it ...there s quality in the track.. and many people would love it...have energy , balanced mix. and stuffs

talkin bout taste?

this s totaly cheesy.... that bassline s darn old and boring the track s too empty for my taste .. i like busy stuff ... many layers... the synths are interestin but after the half of the track it gets repetitive... but its MY TASTE dude... not bashin ur production...

ur track s very good and there are a big audience for this type of sound but for me i d leave the dance floor if this type of psytrance was playin...

unless there were more layers and the bassline was not that oold sound one....

Thanks for the feedback!

For some reason all my songs end up being pretty cheesy, i suck at making none-cheesy music obviously. But it's ok, cheesy music usually keeps the happy mood anyway, reflects my personality well.

Okay, so after like 2-3min i should actually really start layering stuff, i know what you mean! i'm already on it tho.
i'll fo minor changes with my bass sound though since i love that old generic DNA sound, but yeah, i can still change it around.

more layers comin' up!            http://soundcloud.com/li-fe
