It been quite a while since my last post but here is Another one of my side projects:
BeatNik - Devil's Lullaby
MUCH much darker than what you are used to hearing from Nik C 
The tune is abit twisted - and don't be fooled by the weird beginning - Listen to the whole thing for the full story!!

hey nikc,
must say that i enjoyd this one very much,
the groove is awesome the only thing i dislike are the voice samples (ex. the baby crying....) think the samples doesnt fit to the whole story, but you can see this as a matter of taste, in overall its a really good track

Cheers for the compliments 
About the samples... I wanted the track to be something that was the complete opposite to a lullaby; a track that would get the crowd moving more and more instead of slowing down.
The samples are all about that, the lullabys, nursery rhymes and the melodies have all become 'corrupted' - the baby cries because it can't sleep.
It is music to make you bounce!!

I'm glad that people have different opinions on the samples... i thought they were abit "controversial" in the first place

yr lead in the middle is very repetitive try altering the pattern a bit now and then
stop doing yoour transitions the same way eevry time
even towards the end the same pattern on lead comes in try changin
overall gr8 production , nice fx
wit some work will be killer releasable |

Yeah, I agree the middle lead is quite repetetive (I liked the sound so much I couldn't help it )
Transition-wise, i like regularity in a tune so as not to spoil the story, what ever happens happens however I will get back to editing the structure so it works better!

Hey Nik - been seeing a lot of your work around, finally got some time to check it out.
i love this track. great nursery sample in the beginning, would do very well at a party.
not liking your controversial baby screaming/crying that comes in after 2:30 - the ones before that were ok. The kind of samples you use has a big influence on the way the trip goes for people at a party, kids crying would definitely take me in all the wrong directions.
the "itsi bitsi spider" sample is very nice the first 2 times, but after that loses its effect i think.
on the whole i think the track is very well produced, has some great leads in it (i actually quite like repetetive leads, aslong as they sound good).

This track is a lot better than most of the dark artists that are releasing. I would actually like a better copy of this track to play at parties. I agree that the itsy bitsy spider is kinda lame. The japanese is cool though. If I was you I would replace the nursery rhymes with something that isn't a music sample. The track is set up really well and the synths are superb. Easily one of the best tracks I have ever heard from an unknown artist. keep it up man.
