sounds nice!
keep buildning.. though the Z3ta sound could be modified and maybe made something more clever with it... like run it through some reverb and delay and use lesser notes and make it a little question answer sequence...

soon ill up the midi and patch..

That Alien 303 is something I've never even looked at before, but it sounds really really reallly good. Even all the demo songs on the Nucleus SoundLab website are psytrance. This seems like the bass that should be the standard. I need to try it first though.

Layering basses:

You can get your full on bass with a muon tau or chronox whatever you use. Then use a 3xosc or anything to general a simple sine waveroll off your full on bass at about 100 hz and let your sine wave do the 50-100hz. that is how i do it when i want my full on bass a little more bassy.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)

Here is a beat I made. quite nice I think...

I use little processing =, on the bass only eq and some automation of distortion on certain notes...

haha i didn't mean to turn this into a my bass owns yours contest!! :) good to see everyone in good spirits though. i just wanted newbs to be able to make a starting point for a full on bass. i have many friends and the very last thing they learn to synthesize out of the core requirements is decent bass sounds. so that inspired this tutorial.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)

Phat stuff!!
Keep going

though if id had to give some critique it would be the percussion, im not too fond of the reverb thats on them... but maybe my ears are just tired...

otherwise its sweet..

yeah i don't mind a collab. most of my attempts at collab fail because nobody does their job or doesnt want to share the plugins i use. but if we divide the tasks and do all offline processing we can do it easily. my daw of choice for this operation would have to be cubase sx 2. 2 is more stable than 3 or 4 in my experience. we could also use acid pro. acid pro is very good for importing multitracks and sharing them.

we obviously cant collab in FL unless everyone has all plugins and program knowledge. we can collab in reason very easily and it does have the tools. i just dont like reason due to flexibility and workflow. we could collab in ableton. but my vote is still cubase sx 2.

make some suggestions guys. we want each user to have maximum control but getting 100 plugins back and forth isnt reasonable. thats why i opt for a software that has a "self contain" settings window. acid pro has that. you could do all your twisted offline processing in cubase then export it as one long multitrack for that instrument.

so let the ideas flow. i'll be around for input.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)
