Guess this is the week for mixes.
Just got done with this one, its a full on morning mix, purely for promotional reasons.

i recognize some of the tracks from your Sol system set @ burning man (still one of my high points btw  )
and tho this isnt my 'style' of psy, your super tight/clean mixing really does it for me!!

Cool my Mate.. the tracklist is mighty impressive... lots of unreleased stuff there..
Some massive tunes here.. I'd have to say thought that the technical aspect of your mixes is amature.. Mostly all mixese last about a 64 bar and your bass swaps are drastic as hell.. there is close to no EQing done at all with the high's or mid's.. It works great for dancefloors don't get me wrong, i just feel you could be doing alot more to make the mixing more psycadelik.. but don't mind me, im just a bitch.. hahaha..

Really thank you for your comments, its these I appreciate a lot. Your right, this mix is definetly not showcasing my technical skill, partially because of the number of tracks. My mixing style is 100% dancefloor oriented and this mix was made with the floor in mind. And also there is another reason for some of the abrupt mixes (refer to tracklist) . Listen closely there is a lot of eqing done with the highs and mids. One thing you say though, make the mixing more psychedelic? (Trainwreck more?..hehe) Sorry didnt understand that fully.

what i meant by psycadelic is simply that the eqing could be tighter.. with longer mixing, you have more time to slightly bring in the mid's, highs, and low's, not all at the same time, leaving a "BANG" effect.. (abruptness, as you put it).. try blending your basses together for a couple of 32 bars, then teweak away my friend.. i don't like the sound of one bass being cut off completly, then the bass from the new track comming in strong, like your mix displays..
please, no trainwrecking, and there is none in this mix.. the flow is great im still listening to the ending now..

Ah I see. I can definetly do that (infact I think thats a bit easier) but I dont personally like the way blending of bass's sound (to me it just doesnt sound clean...like the mix into the drive to drive rmx). Once again man, thanks tons for comments, definetly good things to consider for the future. |

very very nice OBU. Have listened to it very carefully and the mix is awesome! Ive been listening to it every morning on tha way to class haha i love the sirius track!! i wish you had come to BRC last year!!
