i know we should't do exactly what everyone's doing and i really want to be creative, but like somebody said: we must know the rules first if we want to break them after.
I'm using tau pro vst for my basslines but i still not getting that axtrix's full on bass.I really would like to know how to tweak my vst to get that sound.
I will appreciate very much if somebody help me.
Cheers...

thank you- the waves pluggin helped a lot my bassline. the sound is now much better but i still not getting that Dry Full ON sound, as well..
Between each kick I'm layering 4 bass notes instead of three or two, and i'm getting some good results.I know like this the frequencies of each one will meet more times but like this i can get a faster bassline. Is anyone doing this??

I've been doing that with c1 waves but i'm not getting good results. I dont know but honestly i'm getting better results compressing each part separeted and after sending them together to a group with multiband compression

the tc sidechainer works better.... use desser on ur bass and sidechainer on ur kick and click key input 1 on the de esser this will give separation.

here are some things i found helped get a nice fullon bassline,
the sense of being faster than it actually is, i think can be achieved by getting excatly the right note length, and subtle variations of this throughout the bassline(_,s,s,l) also i found that delaying the midi track(cubase) by tiny amounts 1-10 ms can make it groove!
i realise this is more about feel than sound, but i hope it helps...
