Do you record your own voices/Talking pads into your music to complete your story or find them
'Here and there' in the net and then built a track 'On them'/(And forced to be attached to) ?

Share your thoughts/Soundcloud ..

i like to use just some words here and there.. i like to just have a few words to impart mood to the rest of the track, and let people know what I'm going for.. but too much vocals take away from the rest of the track, to me.

Yes, yes I do. Record my own sounds, find em online, whatever works ;D

I once made a bunch of percussion samples just with a Bic lighter and the stuff I had on the desk, and surprisingly the sounds actually were useful, another time my buddy and I made random sounds with things we found in the back yard, like hitting a trash can with a stick All recorded with my digital audio player's built in mic that actually does pretty good, and that sort of audio doesn't really need to be 64 bit FP/196000khz to be useful

I don't really use speech samples in studio work but its nice throwing them in the live setup or a dj set

Theres some cool things you can do with text-to-speech convertors, they can actually manage some pretty complex gibberish, and how weird would it be to hear one of Shakespeare's sonnets read by a robot in a track?

i record all sorts of vocal shit. words, syllables, screams, all sorts of wierd gutteral stuttering and gibberish, burps, my cat purring, my cat hissing, blowing bubbles...

not to mention all kinds of objects... beer can opening, coin dropping, whippets filling up a balloon, cell phone vibrating, buttons being pushed, etc etc etc etc etc.           Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your living room. ~Kurt Vonnegut

Both.
Having a good microphone and not use it to record crazy sounds and voices is dumb.

Why? Because we are talking about true analogue sound!!!

I record anything I can think of, grab a metal can and place rice in it and you got a shaker, get a pan or a box and u got a drum add effects and you got the sounds for your next track fx or percussion.           http://www.MindDoctorsMakeAcid.com

Not mine, but the breathing in the Solar Fields track on this album is actually a recording of himself breathing while asleep. Thought that was pretty neat:
