That's kind of like saying "enough with those annoying kick drums on every beat"

No it's not. You see you can create bass lines in a million of different ways. Kick drums are kick drums even though you can variate them too
My point was, in case you missed it, that those annoying full on bass lines (made by countless artists without a sound of their own) ruin the tracks for me. And since you posted the track and indicated that this is the "shit" then I had to disagree www.beatagency.dk

The verb you're looking for is "vary". You can vary them.
So are you saying it's the timbre that you don't like, rather than the pattern? I feel like if you're using a kbbb pattern, most bassline timbres are going to sound basically the same, especially if you're way down there like this track is.

Ok let me explain it to you.
The bass line above goes in the same tone (no variation whatsoever) and is basically just short notes added after eachother in a "rat ta ta pattern. This formula has been copied a million times by countless full-on, dark-psy and minimal artists who in my opinion lack the ability to create an intelligent bass line.
Of course this is my personal opinion but these kind of stereotype boring bass lines make me skip the tracks no matter what's on top of the bass lines. They simply turn me off a tune and I see nothing psychedelic in such annoying predictable bass lines (Then again I don't do drugs).

Well I am not in a breakbeat forum. I am in a so-called psytrance forum and what you posted is not psychedelic. It's just annoying copy/paste music. In my opinion of course
The keyword is creative/intelligent bass lines. Something this tune lack 100%.
You wrote and i quote:
"this is what psytrance should sound like. Why do so few people get it right? "

Did you even pay attention to everything else in the track or are your ears broken so that you only hear basslines?
Does every part of a track have to be new and exciting for you to like it?
You say "just my opinion" but then make statements that are worded in a very objective way.
You're being such a downer, man I find something I enjoy and try to share it with others and you have to shoot down my euphoria with your bitching.

Come on now. You posted a tune here and tell everybody that this is the "shit" and that very few people in this scene know what good music is all about (quote: Why do so few people get it right?).
And now you play the victim card telling me I am a downer because I disagree with you.
And yes I did listen to the rest and did not find it interesting or anything new that haven't been done many times before.
It's not bitching. It's called expressing your opinion. An opinion you did not have the ability to deal with.
If everybody agreed on what's good or bad music we could just close down this forum and die unhappy.
Last: No music does not have to be new but as a minimum I expect an artists to have his own sound and not just copy what countless artists has done before you.www.beatagency.dk

Fine, jeez, never mind. It seems impossible to talk about anything on this forum without an argument breaking out.
