Well, i've actually found a place where people know what i'm talking about. I guess i'll go with fruityloops. it seems like it's a good starter program. some people said "stick to your day job." i am only 15 and it seems like this is better time than ever to start learning the basics.(i work at an ice cream shop for whoever said that). thanks for the replies, but where can i get this stuff? |

Fuity loops isn't very expensive if you just wanna check it out for a bit. There are other ways to skin a cat, but that is something that should not be discussed in this forum. Best thing to do is find someone in your area that has these things and ask him or her to show you a few things on it... That's how I got started...

unfinishedsymphony - yeah you have time on your side so to speak, but you never know when you are going to die...
so work hard man!
anyway, i would suggest you to learn the basics in cubase... its much more easy to find a course in cubase and its more of a standard program..
ask in your school if there is a possibility to start something like this.... a course in cubase and music editing...
you can probably find a demo of FL studio at their homepage but work with all various programs to find what suites you best.... dont just stick to FL studio, learn as much programs as possible... as you said, you are young. You sure have the time to investigate a little....
so take your time and just try and learn the stuff.... |

I agree that easier start is with easier sequencer, so Fruity Loops, Reason or Orion will do the trick. |
