ok ben ... midi interface uses joystick input of the soundcard, and u have this...almost for sure, but let's look at your synth... there's a chance it has no midi out ..... look in the www how the midi output looks like, and try to find in on the back of your synth .... or the best way is to look in the manual of your synth.

By the way, do you want to use your synth only as midi controller, or do you want to use it's audio capabilities as well? |

Let me try to help: Go get a joystick -> MIDI cable from Halilit. Connect it to the synth comp in -> synth out and comp out -> synth in. If you want to use the synth as a sound source too and not only as a MIDI controller, you need to get a cable and connect the audio out from synth to your computer line in (or any other place, depends on how you have your set up). |

If you're going to use Fruity 3.0 and above - it has a great new MIDI interface which is far easier and cooler than other complicated MIDI programs.
Don't forget to connect the midi IN from yer synth to the midi OUT of the soundcard and vice versa - I've seen many embarracing things with this ...
don't forget to setup your Fruityloops to use the midi in and out of yer card - after that you can test it by inserting a softsynth channel and selecting it and playing the synth to hear the softsynth play. Have a great time testing... Trip- |

if u want to use the synth's sounds u have to connect it to the amp. best is to use a mixer.
