Fruity Loops was my first. But my sound was very plastic, and I create opinion - bad programm, and start trying another stuff. But when I meet beatiful guys from Uminum (Macedonia), I was shoked - good quality, good music and Fruity Loops. Only Fruity and VST and Sound Forge, not Logic, not Cubase. And they have some tracks created using only Fruity sints filters etc. You can find they tracks at Spindrift`s label site
But IMHO better to not make final render using Fl, there are special programs for this. And according to sync hardware - my choice Cubase like host and FL like rewire - this is my configuration for this moment
Too much words, too less sence

FL for drum sequencing/stuttering/piano roll (the best piano roll), SoundForge as auxiliary audio editor and Logic as main MIDI sequencer. The best thing is to mix the tools. |

Could you please elaborate?
I keep hearing that FL's sound engine is not so good etc but without any explanations...
Id like to hear more than just "it sucks" so if anyone could explain some more id be grateful.
Oh and what special programs?
Dressed to kill you look so right... I am drunk with lust tonite. |

Yep, Fl 6 engine is better than the engines of all other sequencers (together)

after reading this topic, i started "finally" to try fruity as vst in cubase sx and i'm really impressed by the versatile possibilities of it. its great for making grooves and crazy sampling parts, it really needs not much time, also the fx are very nice...
absolute cool progi |

try the lfo parts in the sample editing ...
you can simply make with a boring sample some crazy stuffs ...
also, you can easly export a part of what you made with fruity into cubase, to have then full possibilities with audio editing. |

The good thing is also "fruity multi" means you can output each track into sx/vst onto its own channel with its own eq, send effects, compression etc.
Sometimes I run reason, fruity, rebirth all at the same time through cubase with various softsynths such as absynth. Ill put the effects on send in cubase to save processor space and sometimes export audio to save cpu.
anyway all these programmes work great in combination and have their own sound/use so its seems odd that people should get competitive about them.

Just put same audio sample in FL and Cubase, put same effect (same preset),put same eq (same preset) and render both samples in same quality. After listen results using good monitors or studio headphones. I`ll be glad if you correct me
(I`m not tested FL 6 may be they made upgrade I hope)
About special programs: Wavelab, Sound Forge, Adobe Audition - any program with good dithering algorithm
But I will be happy if you correct me
@lalala
About Fruity Multi: Can you so kind to explain me more wide how to use this function using FL and Cubase Sx3 (Cubase host mode and FL slave mode) |
