Fruity Loops for artists...

It seems to me that most of the artists use Cubase SX to make their music... never heard of any known arist who used Fruity Loops in their productions... why is this so? - Is Cubase more complex and more complete than Fruity Loops or is there no reason in special?
By the way, do you people know any artist who uses FL? - and you guys in the forum, what is the main programm you use for your productions?

its simple for me the automation in cubase and the big one audio editing on the time line the ability to turn your midi into and audio file right on the timeline and cut it to pieces plus the reason rewiring theres no contest in my book but some may just be more comfortable with fl... sorry im fueling the fire i do love the ts404 though and buzz adapter. |

Lots of artist work on FL.I use FL also cause i'm more interested in enjoying making music and feeling comfortable with my tools,not that much on how it'll sound eventually + IMHO is much easier to work with when making loop based music (tech trance).Lots of people will say it's childish and has rubbish sound but never mind ... work with whatever program
gives you bigger pleasure in what you do cause in the end that's what matters , cheers

It is the new/actual version of FruityLoops.
So FruityLoops Studio 6.0.3 is the newest fruity studio.
Avaible are 3 different 'versions' and the Producer Edition is the one with all functions avaible.
The XXL bundle comes with all the extra synth like Sytrus, Wasp XT, Simsynth etc.

i checked out the demo it has a lot of improvements..the biggest one for me is now you don't have just 4 send effects on the mixer..u can use every channel as a send..
its also much better for working with audio now..

Oh yes good old fruity, some people get snobbish about it, reckon its just a toy. They dont know the true power of fruity loops !
But what is this fruity loops VERSUS cubase ??? Thats the most stupid thing ive ever heard they have completely different functions.....
I use cubase sx with fruity loops as a plugin. I also use/have used nuendo (better than sx), max msp ( a program which allows you to do more or less what you want - you could BUILD fruity loops or cubase if you wanted with this thing !!!! ) , various granular sytnths,reason, protools, rebirth, and a host of others.
Now anyone who says fruity loops has no professional application is talking out of their arse, it is the man behind the tool that matters most not the tool and everyone gets on better with different programmes.
Fruity loops is perhaps one of the most versatile programmes ive ever used (bear in mind I WRITE programs ) its is rediculously flexible and can give you almost cartoon like effects and has a lovely warm sound not found on other apps especially with its a bility to allow you to load audio samples and ten randomise them on thirty different tracks at any pitch with different effects on each.... the list goes on .
However its limitation is its sequencer, its bloody hard to edit and thats why if im going to use it as a track ill put it through nuendo or cubase sx maybe alongside rebirth or reason. |

the war cubase vs fl is an old and wrong judgment.
cubase and fruity loops together is simply one of the greatest configuration.
Derango use them in that way.
Cubase has one big missing thing, the sequencer.
FL just solve this, and what a great sequencer.
FL alone has some troubles with audio editing.
(to answer a preview post) ... in fl you can automate all what you want and turn your midi - vsti parts into audio.
but after, for audio editing, cubase is the right tool.
one more comment, don't try to use SX and FL rewiered with only 1 screen |
